Mecosta Osceola Career Center brings home Two Gold Medals!!!
Students from the Mecosta Osceola Career Center competed in the SkillsUSA Championships in the
Nail Care and the Cosmetology competitions. The Conference was held June 23 through June 28, 2008. Over 5,000 outstanding
vocational students joined in the excitement of hands on competition in 88 different trade, technical and leadership fields.
Brittney Lewis brought home the Gold medal in Cosmetology. Brittney had to complete a written
and oral exam, she also had to complete three technical hair cut and styles as well as a long hair design.
Pam Henry and model Kristyn Jernstadt brought home the Gold medal in the Nail Care competition.
Pam had to complete a written and oral exam as well as perform an acrylic nail application, tip and wrap application and a
nail art application. Pam’s nail art theme was Wedding Memories
